Top Nepalese tweetaholic based on followers #Nepal #Twitter #Social media

Ever since i have started using twitter (some 2 years back) i have been always intrested in  the number of followers that particular user has got. We all know that  Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) has got the most number of followers, 25,881,147 (almost total population of Nepal) followed by Justin Bieberr. Similarly, in India, thanks to the influence  of bollywood and cricket, people associated with these two field has most number of folowers like Amitabh Bachhan, Priyanka Chopra Sachin Tendulkar  Mahendra sing Dhoni. 

So what is the condition of Nepal??? Who is the Nepali with the most twitter followers?? If these questions are also troubling you then take a deep breath folks because after digging perelessily for hours and hours and sipping buckets and buckets of coffee (read somewhere that coffee helps to concentrate) I have come up with this state-of-the art, nobel prize winning, ass kicking, SPSS and MINI-Tab crashing, standard deviation and quartile deviation flopping, ultra-super-dupper-bumber DATA.Such was my level of concentration while preparing this table that I candidly lit a white stick lying in the table thinking of a ciggerette (used to smoke in good old days) and then latter realized that it was used cottonbud. Just to let you know that i have rinse my mouth several time with concentrated bleach after that.

While preparing this table three  important parameters were taken into consideration. 1) Account user should be Nepalese (including NRN) 2)Accounts of company, firm and group like telecom, BBC nepali service, tweet4cause etc were not taken into consideration.and 3) Should have at least 1000 followers.

Right, According to the table famous fashion designer Prabal Gurung is at no.1 spot in Nepalese followers league. Some India news channel had tried hard to change the nationality of Prabal Gurung to Indian. but again, those were the same media who had cried the shit out of their throat claiming that Gautam Buddha was born in India. Additionally, these are the same media which claimed to have found the ladder to heaven स्वर्ग जाने भर्याङ   2nd position is occupied by leplan, an IT expert based in Banglore followed by( not as in twitter) model Kanta Sharma in 3rd place.

Among these  61 people who have 1000 or more followers about 30% are  female (18out of 60) which indicates that twitter is still not so popular among the female social media enthusiast. Similarly, almost 40% of the people with 1000 or more followers have a common profession, Journalist. Which points to the fact that Nepalese are  bit more hungry for the  latest news as these journo are the people to break the news on their tweets before it is published online or in paper.

It was such a pain in the ass to abstract these data and i have tried my level best. If you found out that i have missed some account, please let me know in comment box.Time permitted i'll try to include those.The number of followers and the position  are as in 17th June 2012 which may change by the time you read this crap piece.
